Exterior

• Check tyre pressures and tread depth

• Check condition of spare tyre and pressure and tread depth

• Check bodywork fully for corrosion and underseal if required

• Check woodwork for rot

• Clean exterior and interior, including mud traps

• Check front steering rack and bellows for perishing

Electrics

• Check headlights and dip/main beam

• Check indicators

• Check brake lights

• Check side lights and number plate light

• Check interior light

• Check windscreen wipers

Controls and Lubrication

• Check brake pedal travel and adjust

• Carry out full lubrication including:

  • Steering rack

  • Clutch and brake pivot point

  • Carburettor controls

  • Internal handbrake mechanism

  • Trunnions

  • Handbrake

  • Propshaft

• Check heater function

Engine Bay

• Top up piston damper

• Check engine oil level via dipstick and top up

• Check radiator water level and top up

• Carry out engine bay visual check

• Check windscreen washer bottle level and top up

• Carry out battery and charging system health check

• Clean and check battery clamps and cables

• Distributor:

  • Check and clean ignition points

  • Check and clean/change rotor arm

  • Check and clean sparkplugs

  • Check and clean the distributor cap

• Check HT leads

• Check fanbelt tension

Test Drive/Spares

• Check spares kit

• Check expiry date on fire extinguisher and replace if required

• 10 mile minimum test drive
