What is a heritage certificate?

A heritage certificate is a certified copy of your vehicle's entry in the original factory ledger.

What information does it contain?

The certificate can confirm key dates, details and identification numbers for your vehicle.

Why get one?

Apart from providing interesting historical information about your car, including identifying your car when the number plate has changed, a Heritage Certificate can be helpful when applying for tax exemption or an age-related registration mark, or importing/exporting your vehicle.

How much does it cost?

Currently the cost starts at £48 plus P&P depending on the package purchased

What information do I need to provide?

It is required that applications include the VIN number as a minimum

How do I find my VIN number?

The car number is stamped on a plate secured to the left hand side of the bulkhead under the bonnet near the fuse box -  see photo
