• Check condition of cooling hoses

• Check fan belt tightness and adjust

Engine

• Check valve clearances

• Change or clean air filter

• Carry out engine bay visual check

Fuel System

• Clean suction chamber, float chamber and piston

• Top up piston damper

Ignition System

• Change spark plugs

• Clean or change contact points

• Clean or change rotor arm

• Clean or change distributor cap

• Check timing

Brakes

• Check brake pedal travel and adjust

• Check thickness of brake linings

Electrics

• Clean and tighten battery terminals

• Check operation of dashboard instruments

• Check windscreen washer bottle level and top up

• Check headlights and dip/main beam

• Check exhaust for corrosion and attachment

• Check steering and front suspension for damage

• Check woodwork for rot

• Check waist rail drain holes are clear
